A swinging crane, a single command, and a tower the whole chat is building together. Tower Bloxx is a block-stacking tower-builder-style game where viewers type !drop to release the crane block. Land it perfectly and the tower grows. Miss and you lose a life. Two leaderboards track who is building cleanly and who is wrecking the tower the most.

It is free with Meld Studio. No watermark, no per-stream cap, no setup before the first drop.

How the tower goes up

The crane swings across the top of the screen with a block hanging beneath it. Viewers type !drop to release the block at the exact moment they think it will land cleanly on the stack below. A perfect landing stabilizes the tower and adds a new floor. A miss costs a life and slows the run.

The pacing is what makes the bit work. The crane swing is timed, so spam does not help. Viewers actually have to read the swing, anticipate where the block will land, and call !drop at the right moment. That gives the segment a rhythm: tense waits between drops, callouts in chat, satisfying clean landings, and the visible accumulation of floors as the tower climbs.

Two leaderboards sit alongside the tower and run in parallel. The top builders ranking tracks viewers who land the most clean drops, rewarding precise timing across streams. The top missers ranking tracks viewers who lose the most lives, which becomes its own bit. Chaos players gun for the bottom of the board, careful builders gun for the top, and both groups have a reason to keep playing.

Chat from Twitch, YouTube Live, Kick, and TikTok Live all feeds the same tower. A multi-platform audience builds one shared skyscraper instead of four separate runs in four separate rooms.

When to use it

The dual scoreboard makes the overlay especially good for long-form content where regulars develop reputations. Subathon hours, milestone events, and community game nights all benefit from a sustained competitive bit that runs over the course of an evening. Variety streamers can drop it as a recurring segment, with the leaderboard surviving between sessions so a previous winner has something to defend.

It also works as a quick filler between matches in a competitive game. A few !drop commands, a clean stretch of floors, a dramatic miss, and the run resets while the main lobby loads.

Customizing with Meld Spark

The default tower-builder ships ready to play. Meld Spark, the AI overlay editor inside Meld Studio, lets you reshape the rules and the look from plain English. A prompt like “Add a golden block every 10 floors that gives double points” extends the scoring system. You can ask for new building styles, bonus rounds, themed nights, or different life counts, and the change persists between sessions so the next stream picks up the new format.

Adding it to your stream

Download Meld Studio and Tower Bloxx drops into a scene with no configuration, with chat connections to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and TikTok already linked from a single sign-in. If you would rather stay in OBS, the free Spark Plug for OBS plugin loads the same overlay as a browser source inside your existing OBS scene, with the same crane-swing timing and the same dual leaderboard.

Use cases

  • A long-running competitive segment

Two leaderboards run side by side: the top builders who land their blocks cleanly, and the top missers who keep losing lives. That dual scoreboard turns the segment into a self-sustaining bit, with regulars chasing the top of one board or the bottom of the other across multiple streams.

  • Subathon and milestone events

For subathon hours and milestone celebrations, a tower built by the whole audience over the course of the event is a tangible community goal. Each !drop adds a floor or costs a life, the tower grows visibly across the block, and the leaderboard rewards the regulars who carried the run.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Tower Bloxx overlay free?

Yes. Tower Bloxx is included free with Meld Studio. There is no paywall, no watermark, and no per-stream usage cap. Drop it into a scene and chat can start dropping blocks the moment the crane loads.

How does chat play?

Viewers type !drop to release a swinging block from the crane. Land it perfectly to stabilize the tower and add a floor. Miss and you lose a life. The bit is paced by the swing of the crane, so a clean drop takes timing rather than spam.

What are the leaderboards for?

Two leaderboards run in parallel: top builders track viewers who land the most clean drops, and top missers track viewers who lose the most lives. The dual scoreboard gives both precise timers and chaos players a reason to keep playing across streams.

Which platforms can my viewers play from?

Twitch, YouTube Live, Kick, and TikTok Live are all supported. Meld signs you in once and pulls chat from every platform you stream to, so !drop commands from every chat feed the same tower and the same pair of leaderboards.

Does this work with OBS Studio?

Yes. Spark Plug for OBS loads the tower-builder overlay into your existing OBS scene as a browser source, and Meld Spark lets you change the building style, add bonus rounds, or retheme the tower from a plain-English prompt in seconds. No code, no migration.

Can I add bonus rounds or change the building style?

Yes. Meld Spark, the AI overlay editor included with Meld Studio, handles game extensions from a single prompt. Something like "Add a golden block every 10 floors that gives double points" extends the scoring rules on the spot, and the change persists between sessions.
