Two ways to go live
Stream key, or the Meld virtual camera.
Turn on Multi Canvas and every scene in Meld Studio gains a second canvas, locked to 1080 × 1920 and rendered at full resolution. It keeps its own layer stack, so your camera, chat box and alerts sit where a phone screen actually wants them instead of being squeezed out of a 16:9 frame.
Switching scenes switches both canvases at once, and the Scene Duplicator layer lets one vertical layout follow you across every scene so you build it once.
Logging in to TikTok is a separate step from broadcasting, and it is the one that matters for interaction. Once connected, your TikTok live chat lands in the chat dock next to Twitch, YouTube and Kick, and your follows and gifts appear in the activity feed.
The built-in Chat, Activity Feed and Goal widgets react to all of it on screen, so a gift can trigger an alert without any third-party service in the middle. This works from your first follower, whatever your stream key situation.
TikTok gates stream keys behind a follower threshold, so Meld Studio supports both routes. Either way, the production stays in Meld.
Copy the Stream Server URL and Stream Key from your TikTok LIVE Studio settings, paste them into the TikTok output, and Meld broadcasts straight to TikTok. TikTok grants stream key access to accounts with at least 1,000 followers, a requirement that comes from TikTok and applies to every streaming app.
Best for: full control, multistreaming, no extra window open.
No stream key yet? Turn on the Meld Studio virtual camera and pick Meld Studio as your camera source inside TikTok LIVE Studio. TikTok handles the broadcast, while your scenes, overlays, effects and audio mixing all still come from Meld. Available on Windows and macOS.
Best for: getting started before you hit 1,000 followers.
Multistreaming is built in, so the same session can send the Portrait canvas to TikTok and the Main canvas to Twitch, YouTube or Kick. Each destination has its own toggle, so you can go live on one, add another mid-stream, or end one while the rest keep running.
Clips pulled from the Portrait canvas land at 1080 × 1920 too, so the highlights from tonight are already the right shape for the feed tomorrow.
Meld Spark
Meld Spark is built into Meld Studio. Say what you want in one sentence and it writes the overlay, drops it straight into your vertical scene, and connects it to your live TikTok events. No code, no third-party alert service, no browser source URL to paste anywhere.

From a fresh install to live on TikTok. Steps five and six are the stream key route; skip them if you are going through the virtual camera instead.
Meld Studio is free on Windows and macOS, with no watermark and no per-stream limits.
Go to Settings, General, Streaming Outputs, or open the Outputs panel in the top-right corner. Click Add output and select TikTok.
Click Log In in the Stream Service section and authorize Meld Studio in the browser window that opens. Your handle appears in the Stream Service field once you are connected. This is what brings your TikTok chat, follows and gifts into Meld.
Go to Settings, General and enable Multi Canvas. Every scene gains a Portrait canvas locked to 1080 by 1920, with its own layer stack, so you can build a layout made for a vertical screen.
Copy the Stream Server URL and Stream Key from your TikTok LIVE Studio settings and paste them into the matching fields in the output. TikTok does not share these through its API, so this step is manual in every streaming app.
Meld Studio confirms once your stream is live and stable, and your TikTok chat starts appearing in the chat dock.
Multistreaming is built into Meld Studio, so every platform below can be running from the same broadcast. Pick another destination and set it up the same way.

Streaming to TikTok with Meld Studio
Add TikTok as an output in Meld Studio, log in with your TikTok account, then paste the Stream Server URL and Stream Key from your TikTok LIVE Studio settings and click Go Live. If you do not have stream key access, turn on the Meld Studio virtual camera instead and select Meld Studio as the camera inside TikTok LIVE Studio.
TikTok only grants stream key access to accounts with at least 1,000 followers. That requirement comes from TikTok and applies to every streaming app, not just Meld Studio. It does not affect your chat, follows or gifts, which work in Meld as soon as you log in.
