Built-In Multi Chat

The Stream Chat (also referred to as Multi Chat) allows you to connect and interact with your livestream chats from Twitch, YouTube, and Kick directly inside Meld Studio.

To open the Stream Chat panel, click the Stream Chat tab in the dock on the right side of the Meld Studio interface.

Features:

  • Read chat messages from all logged-in outputs in real time.
  • Send messages from within Meld.
  • Choose which output to send from: Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or All (if all outputs are logged in).

There are two ways to manage outputs in Stream Chat:

  • Visibility: Use the output toggles in Stream Chat Settings to show or hide messages from specific outputs in the chat feed.
  • Sending: Click the menu at the bottom of the Stream Chat to choose which output to send your message from: All, Twitch, Kick, or YouTube.

Open the Stream Chat settings by clicking the gear icon in the top-right corner of the Stream Chat panel.

Toggle which outputs are visible in the Stream Chat. When an output is toggled off, messages from that output are hidden from the chat feed. Each output displays a platform icon and username.

Adjust the chat text size to match your layout and readability needs. Three options are available: Small, Medium, and Large.

Enable alternating background colors on chat messages to improve readability, especially in busy chats.

Control which event types appear in the Stream Chat. Each event type has an individual toggle, or use Disable all to hide all events at once.

  • Channel Points: Twitch channel point redemptions
  • Follows: new follower notifications
  • Raids/Hosts: incoming raids and hosts
  • Subscriptions: new and recurring subscriptions
  • Bits/Super Chats: Twitch Bits and YouTube Super Chats

Enable Split Activity Feed to separate events (follows, subscriptions, raids, etc.) from chat messages. This keeps the main chat feed focused on viewer messages while events are displayed separately.

When Split Activity Feed is disabled, events and chat messages appear together in a single feed.

When Split Activity Feed is enabled, two layout options are available:

  • Single column: events are displayed above the chat feed
  • Side-by-side: events and chat are displayed next to each other in two columns

The Stream Chat runs in a browser view, so you can load any custom chat URL, such as Streamer.bot, LumiStream, a Twitch Stream Manager link, or pop-out chat panel URLs.

  1. Go to Settings → User Interface.
  2. Enable Use Custom Stream Chat.
  3. Paste your chat URL in the Chat URL field.

Your custom chat will now appear in the Stream Chat panel, replacing the default one.
