If you've been building beautiful, layered scenes in Meld Studio only to be stuck using them inside the app, that changes today. With Virtual Camera now available on MacOS, everything you create in Meld, your overlays, effects, transitions, alerts, the works, can now be piped out as a webcam source to basically any app that accepts one.
Your polished Meld setup can show up in:

Mac creators can finally bring the same production value Windows users have had, dynamic scene switching, custom overlays, layered effects, into every meeting, stream, or recording, without needing a second machine or a workaround.
How to Turn on Virtual Camera
- Get your scene looking exactly how you want it in Meld Studio.
- Activate Virtual Camera from the inspector toolbar under your Outputs.
- Head into your destinate app (Zoom, OBS, whatever you're using) and select Meld Studio Virtual Camera as your webcam source.
That's it, your Meld scene is now live wherever you need it.
Global Hotkeys: Have Better Control
Your stream shouldn't pause just because your mouse is somewhere else. With Global Hotkeys, you can now switch scenes and toggle layers on and off from anywhere on your system without needing to keep Meld Studio in focus.
Introducing Switching Scenes Hotkey
Alongside global hotkeys, we have added a new hotkey to switch your scenes without opening Meld at all! You can set a custom input for each scene in your Hotkey settings.
