Every content creator has a vision in mind when it comes to their content. The problem has always been the gap between that vision and actually getting it onto the screen. Designing assets, hunting for templates that don't quite fit, or paying someone else to build what's in your head (and it sometimes not coming out right) just slows you down before you even press "Go Live."
Spark was created to close that gap for our creators. Just describe what it is you want and Spark builds it right inside of Meld Studio, dropping it directly onto your canvas.
"I love it. It knows no bounds so far. I want to push it as far as I can imagine and try to break it. Just to see what the limits are." - KreationX
One prompt. Infinite possibilities.
Spark works across every layer of your stream. Tell it what you're going for and it handles the rest: styled, animated, and ready to use.
Overlays
Stream graphics, lower thirds, scene frames, and branded elements, all created to match your aesthetic and ready to layer into any scene.
Alerts
Follower alerts, subscriber pop-ups, donation reactions all custom-designed for your stream's personality, not lifted from someone else's template library.
Widgets
Goal trackers, countdowns, leaderboards, sub trains all functional, on-brand widgets built from a description, no config files or manual setup needed.
Chat interactions
Polls, command triggers, chat-powered effects, and viewer participation moments built to pull your community into the action in real time.
A Streaming Tool that Sparks your Creativity but Doesn't Replace It
Meld Spark is a creative aide, not a creative substitute. It exists to eliminate the friction between your idea and its execution. The imagination, the storytelling, and the personality that makes your channel yours will always be you.
Think of Spark the way a musician thinks about a great instrument. It doesn't write the song, but in the right hands it can make the music possible in a way that wasn't before. Spark handles the technical lift so you can stay in a creative workflow while experimenting and trying more ideas faster.
This is what sparking your creativity actually looks like in practice. You show up with an idea for a stream overlay, chat widget, or a new alert and Spark helps you make it happen.
"Spark has streamlined the entire process of creating scenes to go live. I’m able to have game specific themes in a fraction of the time I’d be able to normally, which makes one off themes for special events even easier.” - BigDamnHeroes
How It Works
Open up your Meld Studio and head to your panels on the right (they will be on the left if you're using the swapped layout). You will see a new icon above the Inspector Panel for Spark. Open the Spark panel and type just like you would explain an idea to a collaborator. "Build me a horror-themed overlay with a deep purple color palette, with an emphasis on cobwebs in the corners."
Within moments, Spark produces those elements ready to preview inside of your workspace. You can accept them as-is, tweak individual properties, regenerate with more detail, or use them as a jumping-off point for something entirely different. The whole workflow is built around rapid iteration, because creativity rarely travels in a straight line.
Three steps from idea to live

Three steps from idea to live.
We didn't want Spark to have a steep learning curve, so here's all it takes:
Describe it
Go to the Spark tab inside of Meld Studio and type what you want in plain language. Be as specific as you can. Talk about style, function, mood, color, anything that you can imagine. The more of yourself you put in, the more personal it comes out.
Preview and refine
Your creation will appear directly inside of your canvas in Meld Studio. Tweak the prompt, adjust the output, iterate until it's exactly right. Everything will stay inside Meld. There's no need to export, import or juggle between applications. Just you and the results.
Apply it and go live
When you're happy with what you've created, add it to any scene within Meld Studio. It lives alongside everything else in your studio natively and remains editable, behaving just like anything else you've built by hand.
"A neon green sub alert with a glitch animation and a lightning bolt icon that plays for 5 seconds before fading out. Keep the background transparent and make the style cyberpunk themed, do not add any audio."
That's it! Spark takes it from there.
"Spark has made my stream more accessible and enjoyable, not just for me but for my viewers too. I created an ADHD-friendly chat overlay that’s completely changed how viewers engage and made real-time conversations easier for me to follow." - b0bba
Your Stream Should Look Like You
For too long, streaming setups have been shaped by what's available and not by what creators truly want. You take the alert pack that's closest to what you want, but the customization tends to only be for changing colors, and you make it work. Over time, your stream starts to look like everyone else's.
Spark exists to flip the switch on that. When the barrier between "I have an idea" and "it's on my stream" is just a sentence, everything changes. You stop settling and you start building something that's genuinely, unmistakable yours.
We've spent a lot of time watching creators pour hours into their setups (and have even done this ourselves!) when they could be spending that time streaming. Spark gives that time back to you and then some.

FAQ
What is Meld Spark?
Spark is a chat-based creative tool built directly into Meld Studio. You describe what you want in plain language and Spark builds it for you through a series of prompts.
What can Spark build?
Spark can build anything that runs as a browser-based overlay in your scene. Things like animated alerts, starting soon screens, overlays, and more. It can also apply effects to existing layers, move layers between scenes, and edit anything it creates.
Does Spark use AI?
Spark uses Google Gemini to understand your requests and write code. Importantly, Spark's output is always code (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), not generated images, audio or video. Think of it like having your own personal developer inside Meld Studio. It is not an image generator.
Can I use Meld Studio without Spark?
Yes! Spark is completely optional. Choosing not to use it has no impact on your normal Meld Studio experience.
Will Spark slow down my PC or use my GPU?
No. Spark runs on Meld's servers through the cloud, not your hardware. Your GPU stays free for your game, camera, and encoding. The overlays Spark creates render inside a browser layer in Meld Studio, the same as any standard overlay.
Can Spark access my files, microphone, or camera?
No. Spark cannot read your filesystem, access your microphone, camera feed, or system audio. The only files it ever sees are ones you deliberately drag into the Spark chat yourself.
Can Spark replicate or steal a commissioned artist's work?
No. Because Spark writes code rather than generating images, it cannot reproduce, extract, or replicate artwork.
What about deepfakes or non-consensual content?
Spark is not a media generation tool and cannot produce deepfakes, fake images, or any non-consensual content. This is precisely why we built Spark to be purposeful and contained.
What's the environment impact of using Spark?
Spark is powered by Google Gemini, and Google has published a detailed study measuring the environmental cost of a single Gemini prompt. You can read it here.
