🎮 Fullscreen Automatic Capture (Auto Game Capture)
Automatic full-screen capture is now in Meld Studio. Your game is detected and captured automatically, in full-screen or windowed mode, so you don't have to swap layers or rebuild scenes when you switch titles mid-stream. Set it once, launch any game, and go live faster with reliable capture.
📱 Stream Deck Replay Button
If you missed our announcement last week, we updated our Stream Deck plugin in the Elgato Marketplace. Check out these new features available while using Meld Studio with your Elgato Stream Deck:
- Replay Control: Setup your button to show or dismiss the Clip Replay on stream.
- Media Control: Toggle, play, pause or restart your media layers.
⚙️ Enhancements
This update includes enhancements to the browser source backend.
- Browser Source Auto-Reset: Meld will now reset your browser sources if they crash mid-stream. If the source crashes five times or more, you will receive a prompt to reset your browser source manually.
- Copy/Paste behavior: Copy/paste on the same canvas no longer centers out-of-canvas items.
- Monitor Names: Monitors that report empty names no longer receive placeholder names.
- Error visibility: Output errors now surface above the Chat tab in real time.
- Move transition: More accurate transitions between different layer types.
- Snapping: You can now snap to the edges of locked items for faster layout alignment.
- Camera reliability: Cameras that are missing on startup or slow to initialize now load correctly.
- Permission clarity: Camera and Display Capture layers now explicitly indicate missing permissions.
- Vertical Scene Naming: Vertical scenes now auto-append [Vertical] so they're clearly distinct from their Main Canvas counterparts.
🐞 Bug Fixes
In this release, we have bug fixes that will help improve the user experience.
- Fixed URL handling for the Browser action bar and property editor.
- Fixed an issue where the wrong monitor could be detected as HDR.
- UI/UX cleanups across the Studio.
- Faster loads: Most images now load asynchronously.
- Action naming: Copy/Paste and Duplicate labels are consistent across the UI.
- Windows: Pasting local file paths into a Browser Source URL now works without manual edits.
